      <image:caption>Based in Los Angeles, Janie Michaels Grauman is a licensed clinical social worker who has specialized in meeting the needs of older adults for more than 25 years. She has worked as a private practice psychotherapist, a geriatric case manager and a clinical supervisor for graduate students and individuals working toward licensure.  She currently facilitates several support groups for caregivers and for people with early-stage dementia. She also serves as a Community Educator for the Alzheimer’s Association. Ms. Grauman frequently presents “On Your Toes: A Four Step Strategy for Dealing with Dementia,” a workshop she developed to help caregivers respond effectively to dementia-related behaviors and to manage their daily stress.</image:caption>
